Hide a hoses are relatively new to the central vacuum industry and ideal for homes where storage cupboard space is lacking. Or if you don’t want to hang a hose in the wall in the garage or elsewhere in your home.
With a Hide-A-Hose retractable system the hose is stored in your pipes in the wall. To vacuum you pull those out of hte wall, vacuum then when you have finished remove the handle and flick the lever and the hose retracts into the pipework in the wall.
Unlike a typical central vac system that has the pipes running through the walls and ceiling space or under the floor and the hose is hung on a hanger in a cupboard or a wall in the garage. With the Hide-a-Hose; the hose retracts into the pipework in the wall and ceiling/under the floor. Not taking up space in the cupboard or on the floor if you don’t have a hose hanger.
