Recently, we have had several people contact us to get a price for a new central vacuum power unit. They have been told their central vacuum is old, the suction in low and that spare parts are no longer available.
It’s not always the case. We suggest you get a second option.
There are several reasons why your central vac system loses suction including but are not limited to the following.
• A blockage in the hose
• A blockage in the pipework
• A dirty filter
• The dust bucket or disposable bag is full.
• A wall inlet could be leaking air / broken.
• The utility inlet by or on the power unit could be broken.
• A pipe could be cracked or broken. Usually happens when someone has been up in the ceiling.
• The vacpan is broken, open or leaking air.
We suggest you get a second opinion as you could save yourself $1000.00’s.
